Congratulations to the Class of 2010 on their outstanding achievements as they graduate tonight from IHS!   99%% of the class is going on to higher education, 98%% got into their first or second choice college, including Duke University, the United States Military Academy, the University of Notre Dame, Cornell University, Villanova University and New York University, and they have earned over $11.4 million in scholarships, grants and awards!  A complete listing of the colleges that the Class of 2010 is attending is on our website.

Parents of graduates - there is still time to order your Graduation 2010 DVD - order forms will be available tonight at graduation, or you may download the form from our website.  Please submit your order form along with your check made out to Immaculate High School by this Friday, June 4th, to Julie Sorcek.

Parents, please visit the IHS Tuition Terms and FACTS Tuition Management Program page on our web site to learn more about the tuition policies for the 2010 - 2011 school year.  All families must enroll with FACTS.

The IHS Tuition Payment Policy form must be signed and returned.    Please contact the Business Office at (203)744-1510 extension 135 if you have any questions or concerns.
The underclassmen Final Examination schedule is now available. Final exams will take place from Wednesday, June 16th through Monday, June 21st, with Tuesday, June 22nd as a make up and conflict day.  Also, students will be able to sell their books back to MBS Direct on Monday, June 28th and Tuesday, June 29th - you must generate a quote before you come to the Buy Back.  Visit our virtual book store to create your quote.
The Roger Sherman Debate Society of WCSU is holding a Debater Camp this summer from August 9th to 13th in the Haas Library on WCSU's Midtown Campus. The camp is FREE and coincides with the formation of Immaculate's own Debate Team this fall. No prior experience is necessary.   If you are interested in attending the summer camp, you must attend the mandatory informational meeting tomorrow Thursday, June 3rd at 2 PM in the IHS Cafeteria.  For more information contact adviser Debra Salvato at salvato008@connect.wcsu.edu.

Our school has once again decided to participate in this year's Relay for Life on June 12th.  If you would like to support our efforts, you may make a donation to one or more of our teams.  Every contribution helps and your participation will bring us even closer to finding the cure (or cures) for cancer.

The entire student body and parents are invited to a uniform fitting in the Immaculate High School cafeteria on Monday, June 14 from 2:30 until 5:00 PM. Please come and see the “new” Immaculate uniforms.  Existing school uniforms for students currently in the building will be “grandfathered” in with a few minor changes.  Please do not purchase any new uniform clothing until the new guidelines are made public.  Please contact Britton Warner, Dean of Students at bwarner@immaculatehs.org with any questions.
There is still time to register for our Summer Enrichment Experience at Immaculate - information is available on our web site, and registrations are coming in.  Courses being offered for incoming freshmen are Math and English Readiness, and Sizzling Summer Spanish!   Upperclassmen can enroll in Algebra Review, AP Calculus (AB) Preparation, and Sizzling Summer Spanish.   Incoming High School Juniors may register for College Essay Preparation.    Dates are Monday June 28th through Thursday July 1st, and Tuesday July 6th through Friday July 9thDownload the registration form now and register your student before the sessions fill up!

Elizabeth Lynn Casey (a.k.a. Laura Eliott Bradford, IHS Class of '86) will be signing the latest installment in her new mystery series, DEATH THREADS, at 2 PM on Saturday, June 5th at Borders!! SEW DEADLY, the first book in the series will also be available!!

The 2010 Spring Athletic Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 9th in the Immaculate Cafeteria. Read more on the Athletics Events Today page of the school web site!
Congratulations to sophomore Brian Herlihy for his Third Place Medal performance at the SWC Golf Championship on May 28th at Ridgewood CC.  In this picture, Brian (in the center) is congratulated by his teammates and Coach Dunleavy.

Attention current and prospective swimmers: There will be a BMAC (IHS/JBHS Co-op Boys' Swim Team) pool party on Sunday, June 13th from 12 to 3 PM.   New swimmers are invited to come meet this year's team and coaches!   Download the party flyer for more information.

ALUMNI CONCERT - Come see our many talented alumni perform on Thursday, June 10 at 7:00 PM at the PALACE THEATER in Danbury. Admission is $10.00 per person at the door.

Juniors: Please submit your parent brag letter and a draft of your activities resume to your guidance counselor as soon as possible. The guidelines for the brag letter are in the document library on Naviance Family Connection. You may bring in a printed copy or email a copy to lloya@immaculatehs.org or byablon@immaculatehs.org. Thank you to those who have submitted them already.
We are looking for a new Parent Ambassador Coordinator to take the place of outgoing Coordinator Marla Monahan - we thank her for her service to Immaculate! If you are interested in or would like more information on what this position entails, please call Marla at 860-355-8878.
